Creating Call-to-Action Buttons

A Call-to-Action (CTA) button represents a marketing tool that prompts an instant reaction via a background link or is intended to promote an immediate sale.

The Webmag Editor allows you to integrate call-to-action buttons in several ways.

1. Inserting a Call-to-Action button via the snippet bar

By selecting the tab "Basic elements" from your snippet bar, Webmag provides you with access to the two basic versions of the buttons as : "Button" and "Button Horizontal". These can be placed at the desired position in the article simply by drag & drop.

The snippet settings allow you to customise the button as desired and format the button text, add an animation, set the button size or the container width and, of course, also add a link to which the click on the button will take you.

Note: By entering the term „button“ in the search bar, you will be presented further possible display variants in addition to the two basic button options.

2. Inserting a Call-to-Action button via "Inline Snippets"

Another option for inserting a CTA button is to use the so-called "Inline Snippets“. This is done by simply highlighting the section of the text that you want to turn into the button. Now move the cursor to "Inline Snippets" to see a preview of the available options.

There are two different ways of displaying the button available:

Button: A single button is inserted when the option "Button" is selected.
2 Buttons: If the option "2 Buttons" is selected, two buttons will be inserted right next to each other.

A simple click on the previously inserted button automatically activates the keyboard and enables you to change the name of the button. By clicking on the button, the following options for formatting will also be shown: Edit Link, Unlink, Style, Internal Link, Open in Modal Window, Insert PDF.

Note: Using your Webmag Editor, you can also easily display information and request a specific interaction by using popups. Learn here how to create popups with Webmag.
